2. Local processing of your files

This 3D STL viewer processes the STL files you open exclusively locally in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to a server and are not transmitted to us or any third party. We therefore have no access to the content of your models.

3. Server log files

When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits (IP address, date and time of the request, requested file, referrer, browser type and operating system). This is technically necessary to display the site and to ensure stability and security (legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest). The data is not merged with other data sources.

Hosting is provided by Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

4. Cookies and local storage

We only use storage that is technically necessary or that you have consented to:

• cookieConsent – stores your cookie decision (necessary, 1 year).
• viewerLang – remembers your language selection (comfort; only set after consent, 1 year).
• stlTermsAccepted (browser session storage) – remembers for the duration of your session that you accepted the terms of use (functional).

We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. Optional cookies are only set after your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser.

5. No external resources

All resources (fonts, scripts) are hosted locally on this server. No content delivery networks or external services are loaded while you use the site, so no data is transferred to third parties in this respect.

6. PayPal (voluntary support)

If you click the support button, you will be redirected to PayPal in a new tab. Only then does a connection to PayPal occur and PayPal's privacy policy applies. We do not transmit any data to PayPal ourselves.

7. Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.

8. Changes

We may adapt this privacy policy to keep it compliant with current legal requirements. The current version applies.
